Tactical Systems

ISI Hellas has extensive experience in the design and development of real-time tactical data systems. All systems are designed based on Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) network architectures. To provide better and more efficient network-based communication, ISI Hellas has developed an in-house (proprietary) communication protocol called Tactical Information Exchange (TIE). This communication protocol allows software components and systems to interconnect, forward data and be seamlessly interoperable regardless of the Operating System and hardware platforms used. It also enables software components to be distributed over a network-based system architecture.

ISI Hellas has developed in-house custom display modules to facilitate the development of real-time tactical displays. These modules were developed using open-architecture graphics language (OpenGL) and thus enable ISI Hellas' display systems to be Operating System and hardware platform independent.

ISI Hellas has developed and delivered the C2 system for a Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA), a ground entry station for an Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) platform and a Data Link Buffer to relay non-standard air defense information to a standardized regional network.

In the course of these developments ISI Hellas has produced stand-alone data link products. These have been combined to produce the Universal Link System (ULS). The ULS allows a customer to choose which data links to implement in a multitude of configurations in addition to providing C2/C3 capability.
