Mission Integration and Management System (MIMS)
![]()
Mission Integration & Management System (MIMS) is an integrated mission/combat system for all types of Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA), that has been designed and developed in its entirety by ISI Hellas. MIMS is an open architecture system that interfaces with any combination of sensors (Radar, EO/IR, EW/ELINT, ASW/ACINT, MAD, AIS etc), with tactical data links (Link 11, Link 16, Link 22 or any other NATO or National data Link desired by the customer), with the aircraft’s weapon systems and other mission subsystems (INS/GPS, FMS etc). The system manages the data from all sensors and subsystems, performs data fusion and creates the Common Operational Picture which is presented to the Tactical Coordinator (TACCO), providing him with the capability to perform his surveillance, identification and command & control tasks. It also allows the TACCO to control all communication, weapon, tactical subsystems and share mission information with the flight deck, thus achieving coordination amongst all crewmembers. MIMS consists the following units:
- Navigation Interface Processor (NIP), primary and secondary
- Mission Integration Processor (MIP)
- Mission Data Recorder (MDR)
- Video Server
- Pilot Display Unit
- Multi-Functional Consoles – MFOC Display
The system’s processors satisfy the respective airborne environmental and EMI/EMC requirements in accordance with MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461E.
ISI Hellas also provides a Ground Support System to satisfy the Mission Training, Mission Planning and Post Flight Analysis and Debriefing requirements for the mission crew.
