US Navy – SPAWAR subsequent contract award to ISI Hellas

for the Universal Link System (ULS)


As a follow-on to the delivery of a Transportable Universal Link System (ULS) with Command & Control (C2) and Link 11 capabilities, ISI Hellas S.A has been awarded a contract by the US Navy Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) System Center Atlantic Charleston (SSC Atlantic) to provide additional software licenses of the ULS product with full C2 and Link 11 functionality to be used in a Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) ground support program. 

The software incorporates Data Fusion capabilities including Track Management, Correlation and Decorrelation, ID/IFF Management and Link 11 according to the relevant Data Link standard. “The new contract award is the result of the excellent cooperation that has been established between the two parties. SPAWAR System Center Atlantic’s need for efficient and cost-effective solutions to their technical requirements matches up well with our products and services”, said Dimitris Karantzavelos, General Manager of ISI Hellas. 

The ULS is a versatile Multi-link Gateway and is in service, in various configurations in several countries around the world. The system can host multiple network links such as Link 11 (TADIL A), Link 16 (TADIL J), IJMS simultaneously as well as multiple combinations of Link 1, Link 11B (TADIL B), ATDL-1 and JREAP.
